Pre-School

Yesterday was Quinton first day back to pre-school. He's going again to A Leap Ahead Preschool, in our neighborhood. He was so excited to go and honestly I was glad to have him go too, just because he loves it so much. I took a few pictures of him all geared up to go and this really cute one of him at his desk. He's already remembering a lot of things they learned last year and I am looking forward to hearing about the things he'll learn again. It scares me to think though that next year at this time I'll have a kindergartener.

More Fam Pics

More photos of the family party. Here we have Zane with Dad, Zane 3 weeks old, with Lexie 1 week old, Lisa and Rory's little girl (in case you can't tell that baby is Lisa's), more of the Rodeo roundup, Dallin wearing his "Junk" horse (who knows...), and Grandma and Grandpa Fail dancing with Robin.

The Whole Fam Damily

On Saturday Sept 8, we went up to Ophir, to hang out with Bryan's incredibly large extended family for the Fail annual reunion. Ophir eh? What? Yeah that's what I said, but it's this little town just past Stockton, which is just past Tooele. They family had rented the entire Ophir Park for the weekend. We only made it up there for Saturday because I just didn't want to go camping with a 3 week old. We had a lot of fun though and like always it's nice to see the family, even if it is 100 people! (though this year it was much smaller).

Quinton loved riding in the "train" around the park the most and Wendy was nice enough to tote those kids around and around about 1000 times. (Quinton said I'll remember Wendy because it's like the Wendy's place, except her hair is different.)

Saturday night we all had to make these "horses" to go to dinner and have a fun little rodeo roundup. Bryan won the prize for the most original "horse," being that it was a sea horse.

We are glad we made it up there for the day and look forward to more fun with the family next year.

A big thanks to Elena and her family for being in charge this year and making it so fun. It was nice to have all the fun stuff for the kids especially.

And enjoy the photos!

Baby Zane

I used to think to myself that I could never love another child as much as I love Quinton. But now that I've witnessed another miracle come into my life, I understand that I was wrong. He's been in my life a whole 2 days, and he's already changed my life. I was holding that little boy in my arms just minutes after he was born and I found myself crying. I was so happy and amazed and excited and so much more.

Quinton was so excited to be a big brother - the first night he didn't act like it so much, but when we went to pick Jana and Zane up from the hospital today, he couldn't wait to get there, and when a nurse walked in to check on the baby, he got upset and asked her why she was taking our baby.
I'm not sure how we'll handle another baby - I'm not sure how Jana will handle being the only girl in the house - I guess that's why she calls it Life with Guys - but I know he belongs in our family. He may never know the miracle he really is for us, and how much we looked forward to his coming. I just hope we can be good parents for both our sons, like our parents are and were for us.

For anyone who didn't hear, he was 6 pounds 12 ounces and 19 inches long. He was born at 3:04 pm on Saturday, August 18th.

Lots of dark hair like his dad. My mom says he looks just like I did, and she brought a picture of me when I was a newborn - I can honestly say I can see the resemblance, he is such a cute kid!

What the... LOG?

To borrow the phrase from Quinton - What the... insert your own ending here... This is the new outfit for Mr. (or is it Mrs? or something else entirely?) Log - I really do not know what to think. At first I wanted to call it a bathing outfit, but I'm not convinced on that either. I especially love the safety goggles over those crooked eyes of his/hers/whatever it is...

Time is ticking...

But not fast enough. I just thought I'd update here and let everyone know that I went to my dr today and yeah I'm so no where near delivering this baby. Guess they just come when they want to don't they? Well my dr said I may just not go into labor all by myself so next Saturday August 18 they will induce me if this little sucker hasn't come by himself. SO just thought everyone may want to know. It's looking like that's when he'll be born, at some point that day or so I hope....
