A Christmas Eve Discussion

Just thought I'd share this little video I took of Quinton on Christmas Eve. He's funny. I love how kids are when you are trying to coax answers out of them. I'm going to share our Christmas pics later this week. Enjoy!

The Dweebiest of All...

Every Christmas my family gets together and does a white elephant game, better known as "dweebies." Each year the competition gets a little more lax but secretly we are all dying to have the best of the best dweebies. Yesterday we did this little game and I was quite impressed with Bryan's gift, which he won courtesy of Kristy. I just had to laugh!

9 years...a couple of kids...and a few pounds!

Today Bryan and I celebrate 9 years being married. It's so crazy how time has just flown by. I just can't believe how incredibly lucky I am.
Bryan has been there every single, grueling step of the way. He's been my nurse after several surgeries and after giving birth to two children. He has been my confidante when no one else could listen. He's my rock when I'm weak. He's my personal religious consultant.

He's an incredible father to two boys who love him so much and both squeal when "daddy" walks through the door. He has stood by me in both good and bad times and I feel so lucky for it all! I love him so much and would do anything for him. He's my best friend and my eternal companion.
I have rarely seen a man look at a woman they way Bryan looks at me. I use to never be able to appreciate this but have learned to love it and even look for it on occasion. After 9 years together I don't imagine I could feel any happier. But I know with each passing day I will get happier and happier.

Thanks baby for 9 amazing years and your strength and love! Happy Anniversary!

A little weekday fun...

Quinton had been begging to do a ginger bread house. We find this all inclusive kit at Wal Mart...so here you have it. Dad did most of the work and Q was insistant that it look exactly like the picture on the box, but we gave up on that idea half way through. He loved how it turned out and looked at it lovingly for about 5 min then said..."Ok let's eat it!"

There are days...

Ya know when there are just some days when things hit you. HARD! Today has been one of those for me. I just have had some things come back into my mind that have been hard to deal with. I just want to say I am so sorry for all the dumb things I've done in my life and yet I am so blessed to have such a great family around me. I am so blessed to have a husband who loves me and is so devoted. He's so great. I love my boys and the joy they bring to me, even when they are turkeys. I am amazed whenever I think about my Savior Jesus Christ and what he has done for me in this life and for each and every person. Even though I've had heartache, lost friends and made new ones, all in all I feel so blessed. I just want all my family to know how much I love them. And my hubby to know how amazed I am by him. I'm more in love with him every day. I am so happy that we have the chance to be together forever. I know there are many cousins, friends etc who have gone or are going through some tough times right now and I just want you to know that I pray for each of you often. I love all Bryan's cousins like my own, well I see them more actually! Thanks for letting me be me and all the love you give. BIG HUGS!

Another Happy little moment

I just wanted to tell everyone, especially those that support my scrapbook love and habits, that I just made my first ever Design Team (DT!) I am going to be designing from sketches by a fantastic lady named Noella at Creativly Yours Sketches. I can hardly believe it's real. But I do think my LO I did for the DT call was pretty awesome (pictured here!).

I am so excited that I can hardly stand it. Now I will get to actually scrap more with a purpose, or at least I'm hoping for it to inspire me!

So Happy I could cry

I decided to re-join WW online and get my butt in gear. Well this week things went wrong when I got super sick on Tuesday night and haven't worked out the rest of the week. I've been trying to still eat ok but I haven't. Well today was weigh in day and I have already lost my first 5 lbs. This is week 3 for me doing WW again and I'm already feeling so different. I am enjoying my work outs and actually eating fruits and veges willingly and readily. Anyway just wanted to share. Now I guess I'll gain it all back when we go pig out at dinner tonight!

Happy Scrappy Day

Saturday Michelle, Kristy and I went scrapbooking pretty much all day. Not that we don't have fun other times but it just seemed so much more fun than usual! I laughed and realized how lucky I am to have such amazing women in my life, who not only are my relatives but dear friends. I know if it weren't for them I would not be where I am today. I would not love myself for who I am and I would not ever have the encouragement to go on and lose weight and do my scrapbooking etc.
So here's my work I did I hope you enjoy it.
And I love you so much Michelle and Kristy.

I know not tons of you look at my blog...but really you have to check out his commercial...it's so cute!

Somedays you just remember...

You know I always know I love my husband but somedays you just get hit with a realization. I have an amazing husband. I do not know how or why I am so blessed. He is so supportive of everything I do. He listens when I want to vent. He hugs when I cry. He helps with the kids, he plays with them, he reads to them, he tickles them til they pee! I just love him so much. I know I have often taken him for granted but I am so happy to be with a wonderful, forgiving, understanding man. I am so glad he didn't kick me to the curb every time I made a bad choice. He is just so great. I just felt like I needed to express my love for my dear sweet Bryan today! Next month we will have been married 9 years and I just can't wait to spend all of my eternities with him.
I love you my Pelduo!

My Public Service Announcement...

If you are a Dr.Pepper or Diet Dr. Pepper drinker than I have some good news for you. If you hand't noticed Dr. Pepper is consistently more expensive than other sodas in the store. So we decided we'd try the Wal Mart brand. Dr. Thunder. Ok I wouldn't lie to you but it tastes EXACTLY the same. It is $.87 for a 2 liter vs $1.98 for the real deal! Also they have Twist Up (Sprite, which I actually like better than real Sprite) and root beer etc. So if you are a soda junkie such as myself it's waaaay cheaper!

Oh and check out my scrapbook blog for any scrappers out there.

Scrapbook Site

For the 5 of you who actually look at my blog I just wanted to advertise briefly a little scrapbook site I have created. I am pretty excited about it and would love to have it grow. Honestly it's very small and simple so far. It is not a store just a forum and a place to list photos and talk. It's called Never Been Kissed Scrappers. Why you ask? Well because I am wanting to have a DT call and contests that will allow those who have never been on a DT or just can't seem to win all those popular contests out there a chance. It will look good on a scrapbook resume if you're on a DT and I know there are tons and tons of talented scrappers out there that have never been recognized. Like me! Ok just kidding on that! Please join me on the site and look for the DT call that will be coming up on the Pub Calls Blog soon!

Thanks to all of you have joined us already! Kristy you need to post a pic and some work sistah! And any input from you girl would be appreciated.

Good Morning...It's Christmas...

Well so says Quinton. He told me yesterday that he thought every time it snowed it meant it was Christmas and so on snow days we get presents. Ha ha! Well in addition to this present this morning I think I shall be lazy today! Although the sun is shining now these are lovely images out my balcony at about 8 this morning.

Tagged...

Lisa tagged me to post the 4th picture in my 4th folder. Well I just back up'd my pics so I had no clue what that would be. Well it was this pic of Zane. Not the cutest one but really any pic of Zane is adorable in my opinion.

SO Kristy, Michelle, My Dad and Buz open up your picture folders and post on your blog: The 4th picture from your 4th file folder!

Happy Halloween!

Because of our recent move we didn't go all out for Halloween this year. When I remembered the lion costume was in the box we worked on Quinton to convince him to be a safari/lion hunter. So even for not being real prepared I think they look so cute. I took a ton of pictures this afternoon trying to get good shots of them, because I knew I wouldn't be able to tonight. Well here are a few of my favorites. I'm not the photographer Kristy is but I tried to make my own little psuedo photographer set up here!

Happy Haunting everyone!

Happy Birthday to you...

...dear Bryan! Happy Birthday to you! Wow my honey is 33 today. I really can't believe it. I just wanted to tell everyone to wish my wonderful man a happy birthday. He's just being lazy today and then I'm taking him to lunch. I am so thrilled he took the day off to spend time with me just doing nothing. That's one of my favorite things about him is he's so kicked back. He's wonderfully amazing. He's a great father and husband. There are too many good qualities to list but anyone that knows him really knows what an awesome guy he is. He's so loving and forgiving and so ready to help others, (even when I complain about it or he may not really want to do it.) I love you so much baby. You are my life!

A Book List...

...everyone talks about their bucket list these days after the acclaimed movie of the same name put it into our little minds. Well I just finished a book in 3 days that I normally would have never read. But in effort to get to know some ladies in my ward I joined a book club and this was the book they assigned us. (The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency, by Alexandar McCall Smith.) I'm certain it was an Oprah's book club, which is generally a turnoff for me because those of you that know me well know how much I'd like to just drop kick Oprah. I quite enjoyed it as I have always enjoyed reading but rarely indulge is this pasttime anymore as I tend to get very absorbed in a book and forget that I have to eat and go to the bathroom and oh that I have two children to attend to.

Well I started a Book List. Just a simple list of books I'd like to read before I die. I know I will never get to the billions and billions of incredibly grand books out there, and think why can I not write these best-sellers? I mean come on Beck says I have the writers line right there on my right hand next to my life line and my head line...geez!

I'm asking you my dear blog readers (ok all 4 of you), to post in your comment a good book you've read lately, and the author, and a very brief description. I may just add it to my book list. And if I do read a book you suggested perhaps I shall send you a book mark or soemthing!

Reunited...and it feels soooo good...

Come on you know the tune! FINALLY!! We have internet again. We're very happy. Now to catch up to everyone's blogs, etc. Don't feel bad if I don't comment. It's hard to catch up. I did some scrapping with my internet loss, so I'll have to post my pages that I like. So glad to be back. Kinda pathetic how dependant I am on my internet.

Moving....and internet loss...

Hello all! Bryan and I are moving this weekend out of the parent's basement. They have been so incredibly awesome to let us stay way over our welcome. Although we wish we were buying a mansion it's just not so at this time. We are moving to a condo in Lehi just down from Cabella's. Needless to say with the move and changes I will be out of internet for a bit. I don't know how I'll survive without my blog and facebook fix but I may just make it! Love you all.

Happy Birthday to one of my "older" friends...

Just wanted to tell my mom Happy Birthday. She means so much to me. I cannot imagine life without her. She's so awesome, always trying to make everyone happy. Has been there for me, non-judgemental and loving through so many things in my life. Loves my kids and spoils us all. I love you so much mom.

Admissions...

There comes a time in every person's life where you just have to admit it. As embarrasing as it is or can be just admit you like something embarrasing. I watched Sponge Bob with Quinton yesterday and yup you guessed it I'm admitting it, it was pretty funny! I had never seen it before and thought I hated it. But guess who watched it again this morning? Yup that would be me!
I'm creating my own little version of tag with this! So admit something on your blog you like. It can be something you are a little embarrased about or a lot! Maybe something you never told anyone, like you like Chuck-A-Rama! Add a pic for fun!

I tag:
Kristy, Michelle, Mom, Dad, Buz, Lisa, Jodi, Alice and Tiffany!
Keep this fun tag going. Tag some people on your blog to follow up!

Zane loves water

He didn't at first but we took Zane swimming a few weeks ago and he loved it so much. We went back over the weekend just to this fun indoor pool in Tooele and this time I took some pics. He splashed so hard it was just getting everywhere. He loves the water and it was so much fun. And sorry to Bryan who said don't post those pics of my fat, hairy body. But I love you baby!

Card

I made this card from a sketch design at Tamara's Sketches. She always has great, fun LO and card sketches every week. I just love sketches and working from them.

I just realized the colors kinda look Halloween-ish! Which was not intended. Oh well.

Proof I'm sexy....

My Dad sent me this e-mail about finding out the number one song on the day you were born. Well mine is "Do ya think I'm sexy?" By Rod Stewart! See how did dear Rod know I was being born!

Check out yours:

#1 Hit on your day of birth

Then put it in my comments what it is! Have a great day everyone.

Digital Scrapping....

HOLY MOLY! My dad is one of those people that can just do anything creative, instantly. Check out his blog for his "first attempt" at digi scrapbooking. I think he found a niche! You're awesome dad. Oh and no he's not gay! He's just super crafty and artsy!

No More will my Boy be called a girl...

...In the last month or so poor Zane has been accused of being a girl about 3 or 4 times. Well tonight we decided to chop of his longer locks. Grandma gave him a haircut...his first haircut mind you! He did pretty good. He still has those "girly" beautiful eye lashes he gets from his dad but I so don't think he looks like a girl (although I never thought he did)

Oh Joy...The Utah State Fair...

I entered 11 lay outs in the Utah State Fair so we went last night to check out everyone's winnings. Overall I was pleased. I won a couple first places, a couple second a couple third, a sixth and an honorable mention (which means pretty much we have to give you something so here you go...lol!)

I swear those judges have something strange up their butts because the pages I think that were good, didn't place as well as I would anticipate and the ones I thought were just so so got first place ribbons. I guess you never know what they are looking at!

So if you happen to the state fair this year go to the Promontory Building (where the fruits and veges have been in years past) and check out my scrap book pages. And my "sisters" Michelle and Kristy also entered so keep an eye out for theirs too!

Blog Award...

I feel bad cuz I haven't gotten on it and done this yet. But to be honest I so hate linking! But anyway. Dear Sheryl nominated me, and then Kristy did too for this little blog award! SO...now I'm nominating some of my fav blogs. So if you see this then put this little, "I love your blog" award on yours and nominate 7 other blogs you love, make sure to link (ugh!) those that you nominate and that nominated you (that's me!)

I nominate:

1. My Dad (cuz he's cool)

2. My Friend Tiffany (cuz I love how she shares pics on her blog)

3. Bryan's Cousin-in-law Trena (cuz I love that she always has pics and sentimental things on her blog)

4. My awesome sister Michelle (cuz she's funny and I love her.)

5. Tracey's Video Blog (cuz it always makes me cry, for good reasons. I love it.)

6. Ok I know she'll never see this but the Cake Wreck Blog (HI-larious!!!!)

7. And Dawn (cuz I just adore her scrap style!)

The Birthday Cake...

...A little late but ya know! ON Zane's actual birthday he had a bowl of ice cream and not his own cake (great mom I am!), so when we celebrated his birthday last Monday at the Fail's Betty made him this adorable cake. Ok so the design idea was kinda mine but she made it work (of course!)

At first I didn't think he was going to even care about this cake thing but once he got going he dug right in. After a few bites though he just started taking it by the fistful and shoving down the side of him in the high chair (sorry Mom Fail about the messy clean up.) It was a good time watching him though! I think on my next birthday I get to sit half naked and eat my birthday cake as messy as I want!

I haven't laughed so hard in 2+ years...

...I swear it's true. Last night Michelle was here and we were talking about the fireman cake story that Kristy linked to on her blog, so I said I hadn't really looked at the Cake Wreck blog yet. So we jumped on and were browsing this blog. I haven't laughed that hard in a very very very long time. I really needed it. I had a headache we were laughing so hard, I was crying! I never cry when I laugh. So thanks for Kristy for the orginal link and thanks to Michelle for making me look at it last night and sharing some serious laughing time with me! Love ya.

Oh if you need a good laugh check it out! Just don't laugh too hard if you're at work!

My baby is in Kindergarten

Today was Quinton's first day of Kindergarten. He was pretty darn excited. We got over to the school and they have all the Kindergarten kids go to the K playground and then the teachers will take them into class after about 5 min! He got ahead of me with a buddy of his and by the time I caught up he was out on the playground. I said hey Quinton have a good day, and he said, Ok you can go ahead and go now! He's fine! I didn't even cry, ok now I'm kinda weepy while I'm typing this. I cannot belive that he is that old. I know he's going to love school and I'm hoping to be able to do some scrapbooking some days while he's gone!
